We need recipes! We need parents and students to submit their favorite recipes to us. We will review and categorize the recipes. After the cookbook is compiled, it will be available for purchase. We are using a recipe form to ensure consistency in the recipe format. You can view the recipe form on the "Home" page of our website or by clicking here. Please download, print, and complete the form according to the instructions. Turn them in by sending them with your child to school.
On a different note-- The label contest is underway! Current Progress (as of 9/10/13): SKB- 396 Stites- 345 Jackson- 243 Hoffman- 89 Brown 1st- 59 Great job! Keep sending them in! Contest ends September 27th! Spring weather has finally arrived, it may even last! While you're practicing the art of "Spring Cleaning" think of your PTO. As a child grows, so do reading interests. Take forgotten/unread books and pass them on to us.
We're looking for donations of books that can be used to help revive the classrooms. The items would need to be in good to excellent condition to ensure the survival of elementary student use. It requires many years and constant maintenance to have a great classroom library. Help the students by donating! If you're interested in donating or have questions, please contact Natalie Simpson on Facebook or by email. Pickup can be arranged for in Mound City. Thank you for your support! Our last meeting for 2012-13 ended on a wonderful note. We are all thrilled at what a success this year has been. We're even more excited about the 2013-14 school year!
Thank you to all who have volunteered for events, provided items for Teachers' Meal Days, contributed to classroom parties, and those who continue to support our efforts. May's meeting summary has been posted. Find the "Meeting Summaries" button on our home page to or go here to access. **Saturday, June 1st: Bring your kids to the Linn County Courthouse lawn for some fun games in celebration of Mound City's Jayhawk Blast.
